catering history
In 1999, I started catering as a favor to a friend. I told her that I was not a caterer but would be happy to help her out. And so it began…Someone told someone else, who in turn….for two years I continued to tell folks that “I wasn’t a caterer but…” As we grew, I decided that I had no choice but to stop pretending and here we are, years later, catering all sorts of events throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
catering philosophy
We feel that we take an alternative approach to the catering process. All our menu items are hand-crafted, always from scratch…our presentations are unique and beautiful, often on antique platters or boards, not your run of the mill institutional wares. Most important is menu selection. It may be that we work with a couple getting married to create the perfect wedding feast, or we might bring simple, hearty nourishment to a workshop or corporate event. All the events we cater have their own distinct personality, and therefore deserve more that a simple formula. We start by providing a list of sample items so you can determine what appeals to you, then we customize each menu. Meal planning begins with crucial information, like time of day and year, guest count and age, and style of event, and is then tailored to meet as many needs as possible. We also never book a date, meaning our attention is all yours on your day….please call or email with your catering questions and needs, better yet, join us for a meal at our restaurant.
